Hosts, Patrice and Kevin McCabe, were invited to be Keynote Speakers at the Arrow Distributing Exhibitor's Showcase in New Orleans this week... with a bit of a twist! The topic wasn't about RVing, their TV series, or their usual seminar topic. Instead, the Show Directors asked them to share their social media, website, and marketing tips with attendees (Manufacturers and Dealers). And they were totally up for it! Kevin has been eager to share his 30+ years of media, marketing, and television knowledge with the industry he and his wife now call "home."
Patrice and Kevin embraced the Mardi Gras theme during the show, and maybe it brought them some luck! They presented to a packed house (over 200 people) who were attentive, taking notes, and later asking great follow-up questions. The couple shared their personal experiences using social media for their own business, along with helpful tips on navigating what can feel overwhelming for small businesses.
Some of the topics they covered:
- Website marketing through blog posts, keywords, backlinks, responsive design, and SEO.
- Understanding social media with Facebook posts, groups, engagement, ads, and events.
- Maximizing YouTube videos, descriptions, chapters, and hyperlinks.
- Understanding and taking full advantage of LinkedIn's B2B platform and connections.
- Tips on creating effective sales/marketing videos (etiquette, engaging, format, creative).
- How to deal with negative comments professionally.
Of course, they had to enjoy some NOLA culture while they were there! They had a blast exploring the city, but there were also sobering reminders of the recent tragedy. The one thing that remains constant is the resilience and unique spirit of the people of New Orleans. They are truly NOLA strong.

I want to thank you for your keynote at the Arrow Distributing Show in January. I learned so much and took tons of notes. Since that time, I went out on my own to open my own store! I have worked hard for the last couple of months to get the store open. Now, I am going through my notes from your talk as I begin to work on my website and social media.
